Gvozden Ivanovic from Karan village, vicinity of Uzice supplied many local coffee-houses at the beginning of the previous century with a high quality plum brandy. He was given a royal permission for production and distribution of the plum brandy which was very
famous at the palace and among aristocracy. After the Second World War Mr. Dimitrije Kovacevic came to the property of Mr. Gvozden Ivanovic and married his daughter. Mr. Kovacevic continued the production of this famous plum brandy. Dimitrie's son Dragomir still takes care of the tradition while the old recipes are used with no alternation.
The Golden Valley is distillated from unique blue plums grown at Zlatibor hillsides that are delivering the finest quality plums collected in early autumn. Distillation is done immediately after the fermentation. Maturation takes place in oaken barrels. The Golden Valley, fully natural product ,is traditionally distillated without any chemical additives. Matured for a number of years in oak casks enriching flavor and taste.
Due to this we can proudly say that The Golden Valley has no competitor among plum brandies.
